From the phlebotomist’s perspective, ergonomics is the science of fitting workplace conditions and specific job demands to the capabilities of the collector. This download describes factors that can lead to work-related musculoskeletal disorders and discusses potential injuries blood collection personnel may experience in the performance of their routine duties. Eight problem-prone activities are presented, along with tips for eliminating or minimizing associated risks.
